People who live in Las Vegas: What parts of town to buy real estate?
August 25, 2010
I’m thinking about investing a little bit money and buying real estate (condos / townhomes) in Las Vegas. What areas are good neighborhoods and what part of towns should I avoid? Budget is under $100.000
Rule of thumb is the further from the strip the better. Try to stay as close to or outside the 215,

That price will not get you anything but maybe a down payment for one property in the areas I would select to live, anything in Picolle Ranch or Summerlin or The Lakes.

HI,
Las Vegas’ real estate market is gaining grounds once again. On an average, a Las Vegas property is sold for about $170,000. With your budget being under $100.000 I don’t think you will like the area that you could purchase real estate at that price.
